Business Planning and Training for Real Estate Agents

Welcome to Business Planning for real estate agents… truly a lost practice in real estate and possibly one of the biggest reasons why the 80/20 Rule is actually a 95/5 Rule for real estate. What exactly do I mean by that?

It’s simple, 5% of the agents produce 95% of the business in real estate (NAR statistics – not a guess!).  It’s interesting to note that of those 5% – almost ALL of them plan for their business production and results. It’s not rocket science – but it is something that most agents overlook on their way out the door to the next appointment… or on the way to do something else not related to real estate at all.

Business Planning and Goal Setting for any business, including Real Estate agents is actually a 3 step process in it’s basic form:

  • Step 1 – Develop your goals
  • Step 2 – Break them down into “bite sized” pieces
  • Step 3 – Track your Actions and steps
